FleetView by Getinge elevates service with connected devices

Building on over 15 years of experience in connected devices, Getinge now introduces FleetView. This web application represents the next step in data-driven device lifecyle management, offering healthcare providers and life science companies a tool to navigate large amounts of service data and statistical insights. Providing a vehicle to access the insights needed to optimize operational efficiency, FleetView is not only positioned to help customers reduce total cost of ownership but also helps enhance service reliability and uptime.

Aiming to advance its leadership in the digital transformation of healthcare and life science, Getinge is introducing to customers the option of connecting select generations of product lines to this device life-cycle management online tool.

“By connecting devices to FleetView, data becomes actionable information, enabling multiple users to collectively enhance device uptime and streamline service workflows. This results in a more cost effective and sustainable process that removes bottlenecks and saves resources,” says Charlotte Enlund, Vice President Digital Health Solutions at Getinge.

Accessed from any web-enabled computer, tablet, or smartphone, FleetView’s user-friendly interface provides service data, remote troubleshooting with expert support, and the scheduling of the requested maintenance. This helps ensure that life-saving equipment is ready for action when needed, across all hospital areas – from sterile reprocessing and the operating room to intensive care, as well as in life science.

“The opportunity to connect devices to FleetView helps healthcare providers make sure that devices always are ready to perform when needed. It paves the way for streamlined services, device uptime, less stress, and reduced costs. By supporting streamlined workflows, FleetView helps free up time for providers to focus on patient care and efficiency in life science,” Charlotte continues.

For specific products, such as in anesthesia, the system provides customers with the opportunity to reduce the hospital’s environmental footprint by e.g., delivering insights on anesthetic agent and gas consumption.

“FleetView is an example of how software plays an increasingly important role in our customer’s operations, and we will continue to explore how data collection from connected devices can open up many possibilities” Charlotte concludes.
